When I first started on mission to become the person I wanted to be so I could manifest my soul mate, the song “Bittersweet Symphony” came on, and as I listened to the lyrics “make some money and we die,” I said to myself, Oh no we don’t. Not today, buddy. You are not putting your bullshit sorry way of looking at life into my brain! And I created a love playlist on my Apple Music app. The criterion for making the cut for my love playlist was that each song had to be empowering, positive, and happy and strengthen my belief that true love was possible! If it’s possible for that one songwriter or that one singer, it’s possible for us! Whenever I listened to music, I only listened to that playlist with songs like this one.
Do you remember
When we used to be
Them happy kids
Them happy kids
When we were better
But in our memories
We are happy kids
Them happy kids
Ooh take me back
To the days
We were dancing in the streets going insane
We had no money
Had no name
But I knew that you and I would never change
Never lose the kid in you.
Do you remember
When we used to be
Them happy kids
Them happy kids
When we were better
But in our memories
We are happy kids
Them happy kids
(Do you remember?)
(We are happy kids, them happy kids)
(Do you remember?)
Ooh take me back
To the streets
Where I met the cutest girl I’ve ever seen
We fell in love at 17
Fall in love with someone who makes you feel young again.
And got my heart broken when she had to leave
Do you remember
When we used to be
Them happy kids
Them happy kids
When we were better
But in our memories
We are happy kids
Them happy kids
(Do you remember?)
Do you remember
When we used to be
Them happy kids
Find your soul mate after divorce.
Them happy kids
When we were better
But in our memories
We are happy kids
Them happy kids
Do you remember
When we used to be
Them happy kids
Them happy kids
When we were better
But in our memories
We are happy kids
Them happy kids
(Do you remember?)
(We are happy kids, them happy kids)
Everything we hear matters. Negative, sad lyrics do matter. They affect us even if we don’t realize it. Listen to those songs later. You know the songs that come on and remind you an ex and you immediately your brain turns into a movie theatre and starts playing the movie reel of the past, and you feel like crap. Those songs. Stop listening to those. Right now, you need your favorite singers and favorite songs and the best motivating lyrics to help you stay in your happy place and help you believe that finding love after divorce is possible! Because it is possible. And you can find my entire love playlist on Spotify.
