Yesterday is gone.

“Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac brings me back! John and my second date was the Fleetwood Mac concert. When we got into the Uber, he told the driver that he was going to marry me in Maui. I told him he needed to get a divorce first. He was procrastinating because he knew it would be a nightmare, and it was. He never thought in a million years that he would get married again, let alone to a woman with two children. But back to this song.

How much time and energy do we waste thinking about the past? I spent way too much time. I love that saying, “Don’t look back, you’re not going that way.” That’s what this song is all about. Yesterday is gone, and if we just don’t stop thinking about tomorrow, we can create whatever we want in life. If we truly look at every experience and everyone we’ve ever dated as a teacher, we can take the lessons with us into the next day, even smarter than before.
