You don’t have to be a solo warrior.

My baseline emotion tends to be worry, and I tend to keep my worries to myself. When I was alone raising my kids by myself, I worried constantly about whether or not I was doing a good job. Even though I had a support system and lots of help, I still worried. I constantly felt “that someone else instead of me always seems to know the way.” I would just muscle through, put on a happy face, trying to prove to the world and myself that I didn’t need help, but secretly wishing I had someone by my side, loving me, supporting me, and cheering me on. I hadn’t experienced life with a partner like that. And songs like “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers helped me believe that if it’s possible for one person to feel this way about another human, it’s possible for all of us. You don’t have to be a solo warrior for the rest of your life. You can do it alone, but if what you truly want is a partner who picks you up when you want to stay in bed (or brings you breakfast in bed), it is possible to have that.

Not every day is a lovely day with sunshine and roses, and I’m a strong-willed stubborn woman, but now I know I can fly much higher with a co-pilot. And if I had stopped believing that it was possible for me to attract a partner in every definition of that word, I never would have experienced what it is like. That’s why I’m sharing this love playlist. This is one of the tools that helped me believe it. Visualize it. And then Attract it. And if one person can, everyone can.
