“I Could Not Ask For More” by Edwin McCain felt like the perfect Thanksgiving week love song. Every morning I write in my Create Love Today Journal 3 (or more) things I am grateful for, and just about every day my husband John makes it onto the list. This week I’m feeling extra grateful and nostalgic because 6 years ago this weekend (Nov 29, 2014 to be exact), I walked into a room and John saw me differently. It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Less than a week later he asked me on our first (and second, lol) date, and the rest is history.

I spent so long not believing that I could find true love and a healthy relationship that would last me ages. I spent so long wishing and hoping for one—and now that it’s here, “I could not ask for more.” I waited for years for tender moments that I share with John every DAY. It’s crazy!!!! “Every prayer has been answered, every dream I [had has] come true.” But it didn’t come true until I believed it was possible then got to work.

Keep working. Keep praying. Keep being grateful for what you do have. And happy Thanksgiving!!
