I don’t know how I stumbled onto “Bottom of the Ocean,” I’m not even a huge Miley Cyrus fan. My kids loved her Hannah Montana show and I’ve probably seen every episode. But this one has a great message and it made the cut for my playlist. I loved how this song was about letting someone from your past go and wishing them the best. That’s what I wanted to create: the ability to move forward, be grateful for my past teachers, and the lessons I learned from them, and I wanted to let go and wish them happiness. She wrote this and it’s exactly that. She’s way more mature than I ever gave her credit.
