“You’ve got to believe in love” I didn’t. For years. I held so tight to my beliefs that became my identity: busy overwhelmed single mom running ragged that no one would want to marry because I had two kids and I was divorced and bankrupt and lost my house and my car. I was focused the what the man would want, or wouldn’t want. That keep me single for years. Then I thought – why don’t I believe that I deserve to have an awesome marriage? Why don’t I have self-confidence and the beliefs I knew I needed to possess in order to attract someone awesome? And I made a list. Stopped dating. And got to work on myself. Transforming your beliefs comes from transforming yourself. I’m still transforming and still working towards who I want to be. And when I get discouraged and have setbacks, I consume content that helps me feel empowered and helped me get closer to becoming the person I wanted to become. Still do. I devour books, podcasts, YouTube videos, and music from my Love Playlist. (Check out my top recommendations for great books to read through this link.) This song “Power of Love/Love Power” wasn’t on my original playlist but I just remembered it and added it. I mean. What a voice.

Think about it. Everything we have read, listened to, and watched has formed our beliefs up until this point. And everything we have created and accomplished in our lives started with a thought…a belief that it was possible. Your home, your job, your career change, your car, your business. So if what you want to create and attract is a partner in life, you have to cultivate the beliefs that love exists, amazing single people are everywhere, and you deserve to have an awesome marriage if that’s what you want. Everything we listen to and read either helps us get closer to our dreams and helps us believe that they are possible, or not. This one’s an oldie but so goodie.
