I love these lyrics because it’s easy to fall in love with someone at the beginning when you first start dating. We’ve all had those feelings of anticipation and excitement for when we get to see that person again. But as fun as that is, I wanted far more than that. I wanted the kind of love that lasts a lifetime. I wanted to be loved and adored when I’m old and grey and wrinkly. I wanted the kind of love that lasts for decades after the excitement of new love wears off. I was working hard on becoming the person I wanted to BE so I could attract someone who would love me forever. I knew that’s how I would attract my soul mate if I just kept working on myself.

If I became the person I was meant to be, then I would attract the person I was meant to be WITH.

I have to remind him every day after work to slow down and to not speed and to drive carefully because he just wants to come home so badly. and I can’t wait until he comes home every day.
